Good morning all. I hope you are well and safe. I was thinking about what to post today. While I have several poems waiting to find their twenty-four hours of air time, I thought I would do something different today.
I want to say thank you. Thank you to those of you who continue doing what you do, everyday, to provide a bit of normalcy in a chaotic time. Thank you to the amazing writers and creatives out there that share their voices every morning. Who tell their stories of quarantine, illness, struggles, or just a feel good piece.
I have always loved reading and am happily amazed at how many inspirational posts and stories have come from all of you.
Again thank you for writing your blog posts, sharing your stories in books, posting your poetic musings, inspiring with beautiful photographs, providing trustworthy information in the face of so many falsehoods. I thank each and everyone of you.
I especially want to say thank you to those who have taken the time to reach out to strangers, just to make sure they are okay. To connect with people who are suffering in the same way we all are, even if they don’t know how to say it. For offering a kind word, even when no one has asked for the help.
You never know when your kind words could make all the difference in someone’s life. What cost you all of thirty seconds to say, could be what the person reading or hearing the words needed to give them the will to live another thirty years.
So, no matter where you are, I say thank you. Prayers for all of you. May you and your families, friends, and even enemies, be safe in this time and always.
YOU ALL INSPIRE ME!
