Good day, all. Today’s post is day two and three of my 31 day writing challenge. These two were done in one poem that took two days to get to flow from my brain. I am enjoying what is beginning to emerge. Wishing you all a marvelous rest of your week.
As always, inspire to be inspired and never, never let anyone tell you who you should be. You are the only one who gets to decide your future, so own it.
Prompt day 2: Killer
Prompt day 3: What does your favorite color taste like
S O S
I just want to
hide away and cry.
My world is in
chaos. The people are
laying blame. The voices
are returning, taking up
roost inside my head.
The melancholy blue that
tastes of failures bliss,
lingers on my tongue
just long enough to
take root. The inspiring
chords of yesterday now
turned to the flat
notes of tomorrow. Unable
to drown out the
naysayers that eat dinner
while reminding me that
I haven’t finished the dishes
because I was wasting
my time on that
hobby. The one that
will get me nowhere.
Desert is delivered on
a sinking ship that
I like to call
life. Tossing in the
turbulent waves of reality’s
storm. As the tears
roll and drip into
lakes, the rhythm taps
out the mind’s S O S
Welcome back and pleased to see your muse is as strong as ever! 🙂
Thank you so much on both accounts. I am finding this 31-day challenge so much fun. I can’t wait to see what we come up with when we put drawing with word in the next round. Have a marvelous day and may your week ahead be full of happiness, inspiration, and immense joy.
You are most welcome!!! Thank you and wishing you every joy!! 🙂
