Starting a New Chapter

Good morning, all of you amazing people. I thought I would give you all an update on what is happening on this amazing roller coaster I call my writing journey.

University Bound

First, some super exciting news. I have received my acceptance to study for my master’s degree at a university in London. This is such an amazing achievement for me and I have been working diligently to get everything together to achieve this goal. While completely achievable, I must confess, I was not ready for the overall expense that this journey would take. As I will be essentially moving myself and four children to the UK for the time of my schooling, there is so much to think about and do. To that end, I would like to remind all of you that I have a Ko-Fi account and Patreon if anyone would like to contribute to this leg of this writer’s journey.

Works in Progress

As I mentioned in a previous post, I will also have three of my poems published in an anthology in April. I don’t have all of the details, but if you would like to purchase one I will have copies available in my shop later this summer.

I have also, republished Book I of La Flor Manor, so it is again available for purchase both in my shop and on Amazon.

I am still working on Book II of La Flor Manor and three poetry books. Also, in the works are the editing of the poems I wrote for the 30-day prompt I wrote about in a previous post. I have included one of these poems below.

Thank You

As always, I want to thank all of you for your support throughout this journey. You have all seen me through mental breakdowns, rejections, triumphs, and acceptances.  I could not have done anything that I have accomplished without your continual support. So, thank you for accompanying me on the continued journey. I am happy to have each of you here.

As always, inspire to be inspired. You are doing a fabulous job at being the perfectly imperfect you that you were meant to be.

Let the Tears Flow

Shed the tears of lovers gone.

of fortunes lost and dreams forgotten.

Let them wash away the agony

that lives inside the soul of

those broken by sorrow.

They will free the spirit

to sore through now open wounds.

Sealing the tear in a psyche not quite whole.

Once again, shed tears for a new life,

on which the broken souls of yesterday

will experience another kind of tears.

The kind that propels the soul to the ethereal

planes of happiness, only found by shedding

off the sorrowful pains of yesteryear.

  1. Woah, you have been busy!! Firstly many congratulations at taking the leap of commitment for a Masters degree! I wish you much luck with it. I went to university in London too 🙂 However, I certainly did not have children to consider nor covid restrictions to handle! Good Luck!!
Also, I just wanted to say it is great to see you here again and I am very excited to hear that you have so much work close to publication! Great news indeed! Stay safe and I hope that you and yours are well!

    1. Thank you as always for your continued support and encouragement. It is truly a blessing to have you in my corner.

Wow, what a small world that you studied in London. Any advice on adjusting to this new environment? I have been extremely busy, which is marvelous, though has left me with less time to update here. I am hoping to work updates and poetry posts into my schedule more regularly.

Wishing you and yours a fabulous weekend and an inspired week ahead.

      1. You are, as ever, so very welcome!
Ha, I am quite used to adjusting to new places 😉 London is a great city; it really is. It is however an expensive city especially regarding housing. As with most cities, the further away from the centre you live, the cheaper the housing 😉 Luckily, the bus and tube networks are extensive.
        Thank you!! 🙂
