Good morning all. I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday. I decided to ask for some help today. I am working on the second book in the La Flor Manor series and am looking for ideas. Any of you who have read the first one know that Lizette and Feliciano will be going back to 1822 Spain. There they will reunite with Feliciano’s parents the king and queen. My question is; As this is a fantasy romance would you rather see the details of 1822 Spain or a fantasized version of what it might have been?
As a side note today I would like to thank the artists who contribute to Pexels.com, as this is where most of the pictures on my posts come from. There are a few that are mine, like my son pretending to throw a fit for my tantrum piece. I appreciate all of the great work that is posted to Pexels. For those of you who have never used Pexels.com it is a royalty free stock photo site. They have some amazing artists, and you can support them and their work by liking their pages. So if you haven’t already take a peek at what they have to offer.
While I am talking about writing, I am excited to let everyone know that I am planning on putting together a book of poetry. I intend to use the poems I have already written and the many more that are longing to escape my brain. I am writing them as they come and intend to put the book together as soon as I finish the writing of Returning Home. So be on the look out for that, hopefully later this year.
As always I wish you an amazingly inspired week. Inspire to be inspired and follow your dreams. Your next big inspiration may just be around the next corner.Advertisements
Good afternoon all. Well, we have all survived the holidays and the day has finally come that the children are back in school. So now there is time to write, right? Not in my house. Now there is time to catch up on all of the stuff that has been put off to spend time with my children. Yeah, that is the excuse we will use. If your house is anything like mine, these were things that were put off because it was easier to wait until the children were out of the house (and not making a further mess) to clean up and do. So the next few days will be spent putting my house back in order and getting back to life as normal. Do any of you experience this chaos when your children are home, or is it just my house? Let me know in the comments what your chaos is like. Maybe we can support each other and share strategies.
I also want to take the time to thank all of you who have purchased the first book in the La Flor Manor trilogy. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I am currently working on book two and planning book three. Lizette and Feliciano are headed for some trials to say the least. Spain 1822 is not what Lizette expected at all and culture shock might possibly be setting in. Plus there is a bit of an over-protective mother-in-law to contend with there. We will have to see how the love birds deal with the strain.
Lastly, I would like to ask for everyone’s patience with the new site. I am making some changes and upgrading some features. If there is something you don’t like, please drop me a line and let me know. It is a work in progress as I figure out what works best for my content and readers desires. Thank you in advance for your understanding. I will try to keep every one updated on the website and books two and three.
As always, have a wonderful day and inspire to be inspired. I hope you achieve what you set out to do today, and if you do not, do not give up just keep trying.
Good morning to all of my readers. I am sorry for my absence. I decided to try my hand and the whole NaNoWriMo in November. I am happy to say that I met my goal and because of this I am now working on editing my first book. With this though has come the struggle to balance my work time, personal writing time, and family time. I am happy to say that I think I am bringing it together well. I guess only time will tell. This gave me the idea to write this new post.
We have all heard the saying “time is money” and I have even written it in one of my previous posts. These three words have shaped our lives on so many levels. I have learned that the best way to handle these words is to ignore them. If I let myself get tied behind these words, I find my personal style suffering, which makes my professional style suffer as well. While there will always be a deadline and time restraints for everything we do in our lives, we must learn not to dwell on them. If it is meant to be, you will find a way to make it happen. Allowing myself to adopt this mindset has given me the opportunity to see myself grow. Removing the time clock that was constantly running in my head, gave me room for creative flow. This is not to say that I do not meet deadlines or have a schedule to keep. Only that I let myself worry about the quality of my work, instead of constantly looking at the clock to see how much time I have to complete it. This has not only given me peace of mind, whether I am working on work to be turned in or personal creations, but also improved the quality of both. So my advice to you is to let the clock take the backseat. Know that it is there, but do not let it take the space of your personal thinking.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday and an inspired weekend. Find what makes you happy and make it your own.
